Additionally, Section 13, People with NRPF who are Receiving After-Care under Section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983 was refreshed and a link was added to the Section 117 Aftercare chapter.

Section 1, Maintaining Confidentiality about a Person or Carer was amended in April 2025 to clarify that the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR do not prevent the sharing of information for safeguarding purposes.

A ‘need to know’ box was added into Section 5, Receiving a Standard Authorisation Request with information about responding to requests from an eligible person.
